Kororoit By Election - there's more!

"The Landeryou web site is a scum site that ran a vile campaign against Les."

And this.

But then, it looks as if it has reignited! Wonder if there was any call on the Costa Rican community?

Have a great weekend.

I wonder if Sol Lew, Ron Walker, and a few others, might want to kick a few bucks into the Les Twentyman bid to protect his family from mad Stalker Andrew Landeryou. Landy needs to be reminded that free speech carries some responsibilities. It not just open slather. You can't just say the first thing that comes into your head. Landy's month long Blog of Hate against Les Twentyman was utterly disgraceful. It exceeded every boundary. He needs a very big slap!

Andrew now is tearing into ABC rep Peter Lloyd who is in trouble in Singapore. Andy thinks he should be seen as a journalist because he publishes 'news' which is another mad fantasy. He thinks that the ABC is wasting public money in supporting Lloyd. As a former journo, I got unstinting support from my media employers. Peter Lloyd deserves no less.

Didn't Andy go to gaol as well? Didn't he flee to Costa Rica?

Landy must have had a visit from the coppers. Two days in a row with no over-the-top Les Twentyman orgy of hate. Maybe he's been told to pull his head in!

Andrew doesn't like being reminded of his "Getaway' holiday to Costa Rica, or of IQ Corp and the company records that vanished.

A BLAST FROM THE PAST:

Melbourne businessman Andrew Landeryou has been reported to the Director of Public Prosecutions for allegedly threatening the liquidator of the Melbourne University Student Union, Dean McVeigh.

Mr McVeigh said yesterday his lawyers had lodged the complaint after Mr Landeryou and two former presidents of the student union followed him down a city street. Mr Landeryou, borrowing a quotation from former prime minister Paul Keating, had said: "I am going to do you slowly."

Mr McVeigh, who is conducting a court examination into the affairs of the failed student union, issued a writ on Tuesday claiming as much as $5 million damages from eight men: Mr Landeryou, three former student union presidents and four former employees.

It alleges they conspired to defraud the failed student union by engineering deals that gave a "secret and inordinate financial advantage to friends and mentors", namely Mr Landeryou, Benjamin Cass and Darren Ray.

According to Mr McVeigh, Mr Landeryou confronted him inside the Victorian Supreme Court and told him: "You have got to know how bad this is going to be for you."

Mr McVeigh, of Foremans Business Advisers, later described the incident in an affidavit handed to Master Ewan Evans, who is presiding over the liquidator's examination.

In the document, he also complained about an entry on Mr Landeryou's internet weblog that purported to describe part of yesterday's proceedings.

Master Evans said the internet weblog entry "conveys a very misleading impression of what took place in this court this morning".

I wonder who is going to be 'Done Slowly' over the Les Twentyman affair!

I wondered how Dean McVeigh came into the picture. Landy was slagging him again recently.

Victorian Supreme Court Master Evans made the memorable remark that Landy's blog was 'misleading'. I bet Les Twentyman, and the voters of Kororoit, among perhaps thousands of others, think so too!

Does Master Evans's comment constitute a legal precedent? No, but it was sagacious nonetheless.

"Mr Landeryou, Benjamin Cass and Darren Ray"

One is currently behind bars. Wonder when his fat friend will join him?

Les Twentyman's barrister Diana Piekusis (she of the broken glass in the velvet glove) must be waiting impatiently to do Andrew slowly at Sunshine Court on 31 July - that is if he has the ticker to front.

After a month of the grossest, meanest and most sickening defamations about Les, Andrew has fallen strangely silent for the past three days. Obviously, he's made many heavyweight enemies recently who are in a different league to Dean McVeigh and Sol Lew. Silence is golden, Andrew.

They're going to need a much bigger cell then. Forget about throwing away the keys. The cell door needs to be welded shut and then bricked in.

The Victorian prison system has never dealt with a deranged KFC addict before.

Landy won't be going 'cold-turkey'. He'll be going cold-chook.

Is it normal for fat people to hate other fat people? Maybe it has something to do with hating your own mirror image? Andrew's latest blog (tonight) slags Mark Baker of Monash Uni student Union. Mark's biggest problem aside from incompetence, according to Andrew, is his slavish addiction to pies.

Who can forget the recent references to 'Lord Les Twentytonneguts' and his obesity and BO. Yet posters on this blog say Andrew himself is mountainous, bloats out on KFC, and is on the smelly side himself.

Is the world really so full of rotten, fat, stinking scoundrels?

Andrew's blog suddenly has become 'Whale Watch'. Look out for the harpoons, Andrew!

Les Twentyman's barrister Diana Piekusis needs to be a little careful here. Landy has a very long history of obfuscation in courtroom proceedings. This is part of an article: The tycoon, the missing husband and the millions (The Age, April 23, 2005):

What concerns the liquidator is that in each of the five deals, the companies seem to have secured contracts by circumventing proper processes, by cultivating close friendships with the student union executive, even by lying or hiding their links to past student
presidents.

So far, some 3152 documents have been examined by the liquidator. They line the walls of Court Three in the Victorian Supreme Court, where counsel Garry Bigmore, QC, supported by Graham Levy and his son Michael, of Madgwicks Lawyers, have spent 16 days since October
questioning 36 witnesses.

The cavalier attitude of some witnesses has staggered observers. They do not appear to accept that anything untoward has happened, and see the investigation purely in political terms. Alternately, they blame others for poor record-keeping or conspiracies, then launch into political speeches backing the policies that landed them in positions of authority at
the student union.

Landy was one of the main errant witnesses referred to above. Check out the article. Diana has some days to get additional advice from legal eagles involved in the earlier Landy courtroom appearances. Diana, you will obviously need to gag the political obfuscations Landy is prone to making. He has managed to avoid the sting of justice so far. There are lot of people wishing you good luck on the 31st!

The Priveleged Andrew Landeryou, recalcitrant and forgetful witness extraordinaire

(The Age August 14, 2004)

...The Landeryou clan, Kitching and Mason plumped themselves into the witness box before Registrar Jane Mussett this week only after counsel for the liquidator asked the court to consider issuing arrest warrants because they declined to turn up under summons.

Andrew Landeryou followed his wife into the witness box.

His evidence was given with his face mostly turned away from the liquidator's counsel, and he prefaced every question - even when asked to state his name - by citing "privilege". Several times during Landeryou's evidence, the registrar threatened to refer him to a judge for contempt of court.

For his part, Landeryou said it was "contempt, utter contempt" that his wife had been "dragged" into the examination.

Asked what position Kitching held at IQ, Landeryou cited privilege and said: "I do not recall, or care."

Indeed, the evidence of the Landeryou family members was riddled with a surprising inability to recall or remember very much about the company...

...Mokbel disappeared in March, shortly before the end of his trial related to the importation of two kilograms of cocaine. Police suspect he left Australia about two weeks later, having sent up to $20 million overseas.

Lanteri, 33, of Bundoora, pleaded guilty in the Supreme Court to trafficking ecstasy and methylamphetamine in 2000 and possessing cannabis and methylamphetamine in 2001.

Prosecutor Diana Piekusis argued that Lanteri should be jailed, saying he had been involved with three drugs described by courts as social evils...

Landeryou is now complaining that Tim Fisher has been given a job!!!! An ambassadorial job at that, to the Vatican of all things.

While it is debatable on the merits , my concern is that Landeryou has a problem with people being gainfully employed.

Does he think everyone is like him, munching on KFC, sitting at home all day, surfing the net.

Ten days to go before Barge-arse Landy might get a big smacking in Sunshine.

Here's another cute example of Landeryou family behaviour in court - and Dimberley's competence as a solicitor - from The Age of August 2004:

"Kimberley Kitching, a Melbourne City councillor, was the registered company secretary of IQ Corp from October 1999 to February 2000 and, according to documents filed with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, was a secretary of some IQ companies until May 2001.

"Kitching's demeanour as a witness was belligerent and theatrical. Before counsel for the liquidator had asked even the first question, Kitching cut him off and asked for someone to explain the layout of the court because, she said, she had not been there before and wanted to understand who all these people - the solicitors at the bar table - were.

"This caused some surprise in the court: Kitching is a qualified lawyer. She told the court that her duties with Melbourne City Council now took up so much of her time that she was not currently practising law, nor did she have a current practice certificate.

"Kitching said she had been employed or contracted by IQ - the dates of her employment are not clear - and was paid about $50,000 a year.

"But Kitching said she did not have any receipts, personal bank statements, nothing - not even income tax returns - that would show the payments.

"Kitching said those sorts of documents about her personal finances would have been kept at the IQ offices by Andrew Landeryou's sister, Anne-Marie Landeryou-Mason, who earlier gave evidence that she was 'a jack-of-all-trades' at IQ - the company book-keeper, receptionist and personal assistant.

"Anne-Marie's husband, Matthew Mason, was not employed by IQ but the court heard that the company reimbursed him for certain expenses.

"Precisely what Mason did for IQ and the nature of those expenses is not yet clear..."

A check of the electoral records for Victoria shows there is no-one with the "Landeryou-Mason" surname now on the roll.

Perhaps Fat Andy's sister changed her name to something less contraversial - like Mugabe.

I can't find a photo of Kim Kitching on the net. Just curious. I sort of expect a lady with dark glasses, a white stick and a guide dog. She probably still does the Eagle Rock every day, since she got rid of a thousand pounds of ugly fat - Andrew!

Anonymous said...

Kimberley Kitching wasn't the only agressive, unhelpful, forgetful witness at the above hearings. Patriarch and guarantor Bill Landeryou was another (The Age August 14, 2004):

Bill Landeryou on Monday pointedly and aggressively told the court that even though he had been a director of IQ he did not retain any financial records, any notes, floppy discs, CD-roms, emails, statements or correspondence that may have transpired between himself, IQ and several of the company's officers. Nor did Landeryou-Mason, nor did Mason.

The Landeryous insisted that they did not know what happened to the company's records after the landlord unceremoniously evicted IQ from its premises in Sturt Street, South Melbourne, in 2002.

(Sgt Schulze adds: I know NOTHING either!)

Landy is a horrible, serial stalker. He published a photo of Dean McVeigh's car back in 2005. To be absolutely fair, that blog claims the photo was taken by a 'citizen photographer' which, of course, is nonsense. It has the distinctive 'artistic' signature of Landy's own handiwork.

I like that line about all the hormones in the KFC sending Landeryou crazy. You can just imagine him wheeling it out in court to explain his aggressive and threatening behaviour.

Anonymous said...

Landeryou in a KFC rage from all the hormones in his favourite food? Come off it! The KFC hormones have given him manboobs. That's all.

Fat Andy is frothing at the mouth over taxpayer assistance to Peter Lloyd, the ABC journalist who has found himself in a pickle in authoritarian and anti-democratic Singapore. Landeryou is simply jealous. He wishes he had taxpayer assistance in his upcoming legal stoushes.

Anonymous said...

Landeryou has had enough taxpayer assistance. Hasn't worked since 2002 when his last venture IQ crashed and burned. Not surprised he's back in court but would prefer him back in jail.

Anonymous said...

This is a real conundrum. The community would be better served if Landeryou was behind bars, but the taxpayer will have to pay for his imprisonment.

There is a solution. Bill Landeryou's parliamentary pension could be garnished to pay his son's prison tab. After all, Landeryou pere must carry much of the blame for how Landeryou fils turned out.
