AN INTERVIEW WITH ANDREW LANDERYOU

In February 2005, a ‘real journalist’ assembled the story involving Andrew Landeryou, utilising his blog dirges as commentary. The original story can be found here. We have since updated the story, with our editorial additions in brackets.

SL = SLANDERYOU

A “REAL JOURNALIST”: Describing himself as a retired company director (SL: bankrupt and sleaze blogger) in search of a new path (SL: from luxurious South Bank apartment to nearest KFC restaurant) , Andrew Landeryou writes that for a person of his reputation (SL: Andrew has a reputation?), perhaps journalism is his only option. (SL: Add Landeryou is still not a journalist)

His weekend spell (SL: too short?)in the Melbourne Assessment Prison prompted him to set up his own website ((SL: it’s a blog!), where he can safely (SL: cowardly more like) take aim at his enemies (SL: need a list the size of War and Peace).
His first blog appeared yesterday morning, under the headline, "The Truth Shall Set You Free". (SL: wrong right from the start!)

ONLINE DIARY (read by actor): The blog and a couple of nights at the big brick building (SL: call it what it was, gaol) on Spencer Street has liberated my keyboard and my big mouth (SL: except for all the KFC in it). Because I've copped the mother of all hidings in the press, I'll be returning fire not because it will discourage them, but to ensure the historical record includes both sides of the story. (SL: both sides?) Most journos have glass jaws, so it might be a bit of fun. (SL: Landeryou has a well worked jaw, having masticated through all the KFC that he does)

A “REAL JOURNALIST”: The son of the former ALP numbers man and Cain government minister Bill Landeryou, flew back into Australia last week, after a five month absence in Costa Rica. (SL: ‘Absence”?)

ONLINE DIARY (read by actor): Do you think I planned all this? (SL: let’s take a punt on this: “YES”) Do you think I wanted it? (SL: let’s take a punt on this as well: “YES” again)
That arrest warrant is a death warrant for my commercial and political career. (SL: got that right!)

A “REAL JOURNALIST”: He left his wife and the country the day before he was due to appear in court to explain his involvement in several companies which had signed multimillion dollar contracts with the Melbourne University Student Union. Recent former student union presidents, all young and aspiring members of the Labor Right signed the contracts, contracts which allegedly drove the Student Union into financial collapse.

ONLINE DIARY (read by actor): I'm not an expert on what happened with the Melbourne University Student Union's liquidation, but it didn't seem to collapse at all, other than the University decided to nuke it. (SL: why is it always someone else’s fault, eg IQ, or the Court not finding you to serve the subpoena before you flew to Costa Rica)

A “REAL JOURNALIST”: Himself a former student union president in 1991, Andrew Landeryou says he'll appear in court tomorrow with bells on. (SL: with’bells on’? What like a fairy or a clown?)

ONLINE DIARY (read by actor): In the days ahead you'll be given a warts and all account (SL: your blog has indeed infected the Australian National Library like a case of warts))of what went right and what went hideously wrong in my old life. It's been a grim few years of course. It seems that indeed I am homeless, penniless, spurned by wife. But do you think that will stop me telling how it is? No. I have nothing left to lose. I started with nothing, I may end with nothing. (SL: what a brave little soldier)

A “REAL JOURNALIST”: In his most recent entry, the Labor operative takes aim at the lawyer representing retailer Solomon Lew.

In a separate case, Solomon Lew is seeking the repayment of $3 million which he invested in Landeryou's online gambling venture, IQ Corporation. (SL: but Lew only got $13K back)

WORLD EXCLUSIVE 3: Global Gaming links into Andy

The troika of World Exclusives is complete.

Team Slanderyou went to Costa Rica earlier in the year to track Andy's movements in that country.

We found that Landeryou claimed that he was in Costa Rica to pursue his online gaming spivery activities.

What was interesting about this is that he appears to have funded his time in CR exclusively from funds directly transferred into the country (from Australia perhaps?).

According to CR's very stringent work and immigration laws: "... you must either be a citizen of Costa Rica or have legal Permanent Residency. With any other residency (rentista, pensionado, etc), you CAN (sic) own a business but you can not work in that business."

So, Landeryou could not have (legally) earned income from working in CR. If he did hold down a job, he was operating illegally. Did he then go to CR to buy a business, as he claimed?

An interesting fact is that: "Costa Rica is home to more than 200 online gambling companies, but the Central American country actually has no legislation specifically dealing with gambling over the Internet."

So, why was Landeryou so keen to exploit such an unregulated gaming market?

We can now report that Global Gaming News (GamingNews) links directly through to Landeryou's blog.

Why would that be???

Have a great weekend; we at Team Slanderyou are exhausted after delivering three World Exclusives in one week.

WORLD EXCLUSIVE 2: SLANDERYOU READERS WIN PATRIOTIC PROTEST

Slanderyou readers have won a significant popular protest concerning Andrew Landeryou’s viral blog attaching itself to the National Library’s website archives.

Landeryou has been aggressively promoting his blog of sleaze’s inclusion in the National Library’s website archives for months.

In November, Team Slanderyou reported how Landeryou’s blog had infected the archives. Polling conducted by Team Slanderyou showed that 100% of patriots overwhelmingly disapproved of the inclusion of the viral blog into the archives.

Team Slanderyou’s polling proved that Landeryou’s inclusion in the archives would erode visitor numbers to the Library.

Team Slanderyou can report that owing to the popular protest movement lead by Team Slanderyou readers, Landeryou’s blog has not been updated in the archives since 30 November 2006, and looks unlikely to be updated.

Congratulations must go to Slanderyou readers for this success.

WORLD EXCLUSIVE 1: Andrew Landeryou in conversation

A member of the 10,000 plus strong Team Slanderyou readers’ community, forwarded the following transcript of the conversation they had with Andrew Landeryou last Thursday afternoon, through Landeryou’s ‘Meebo’ IP tracking device.

The conversation provides a revealing insight into Landeryou’s mindset. Why does he suggest that Kelvin T’s constituents are freaks? Perhaps the most revealing thing was how polite the Slanderyou reader was!

The last time we featured ‘a conversation’ with Landeryou it involved killing cats! Of course, printing the conversation below is OK, as Andy has done similar!

"[7:07] meeboguest712378: hi
[7:07] Andrew Landeryou: hey
[7:08] meeboguest712378: what's your take on the Mrs Rudd thing?
[7:08] Andrew Landeryou: i wrote a thing on it
[7:08] Andrew Landeryou: basically not good for Team Rudd
[7:08] Andrew Landeryou: with worse to come
[7:08] meeboguest712378: worse?
[7:08] Andrew Landeryou: and that she's not better off selling it
[7:08] Andrew Landeryou: yep
[7:08] meeboguest712378: ok, i see it now!
[7:10] meeboguest712378: and what about Kelvin T?
[7:10] Andrew Landeryou: didn't seem to amount to much
[7:11] meeboguest712378: he admitted to something like 5000 references he's written!
[7:11] Andrew Landeryou: yes statistically there's gotta be some freaks in there
[7:12] meeboguest712378: any idea who?
[7:12] Andrew Landeryou: in the 5000?
[7:12] Andrew Landeryou: no
[7:12] meeboguest712378: yes
[7:12] meeboguest712378: ok
[7:13] meeboguest712378: is it common for ALP polies to do this sort of thing?
[7:14] Andrew Landeryou: common for all of them I gather
[7:14] Andrew Landeryou: or most
[7:14] meeboguest712378: really think so?
[7:15] Andrew Landeryou: letters of support
[7:15] Andrew Landeryou: more than references
[7:15] meeboguest712378: would it be a case of say an electorate officer writing something and the polie just saying anything put in front of them?
[7:15] Andrew Landeryou: perhaps
[7:16] Andrew Landeryou: altho knowing Kelvin T
[7:16] Andrew Landeryou: I doubt that
[7:16] meeboguest712378: why?
[7:16] Andrew Landeryou: he is very thorough person
[7:16] meeboguest712378: 'thorough' - in what sense?
[7:16] Andrew Landeryou: hard working
[7:16] Andrew Landeryou: diligent
[7:16] Andrew Landeryou: detail conscious
[7:17] meeboguest712378: so hard working and thorough he signs references for hardened crooks?
[7:18] meeboguest712378: sorry, tough question for you to answer
[7:18] meeboguest712378: thanks for your time"

END

Tune in Wednesday when we reveal World Exclusive no. 2 for the week, the successful protest conducted by Slanderyou readers.

Tune in Next Monday: WORLD EXCLUSIVES

Next week promises to be a very busy one for Team Slanderyou.

Tune in from Monday, when we will reveal:

It'll be a big week.

In the meantime, please post your usual sparkling and enlightened insights in the comments section.

So why wasn't Stephen Conroy mentioned?

Fiona Richardson's replacement of Mary Delahunty for Northcote caused all sorts of controversy last year.

But what got us thinking about this issue again was this sentence: "Ms Richardson ... has spent the past 10 years working for MPs including Julia Gillard and Gareth Evans."

All perfectly OK, until one remembers she worked for at least two years for Senator Stephen Conroy, or at least in his office. Surely, working for the Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Senate is worth mentioning?

And the link to Andrew Landeryou? Who was Crikey's anonymous tipster?

Wednesday, May 23, 2007

Telmo, Alex Hawke & Andrew Landeryou

It's been a busy morning for Andrew Landeryou, pushing his bizzare spin concerning Telmo, and pushing "....christian hard right winger alex hawke (sic) for preselection in alan 'deadman' cadmans seat of mitchell today and saying he has the numbers." (Hat Tip Slanderyou Reader)

Please post the truth in the comments section. Cait/Catter8/Landeryou will obviously post his/hers as well.

Andrew Landeryou has a Google & Fairfax induced paranoid high

Overnight, Google and the Australian media company Fairfax, owner/operators of newspaper mastheads such as Melbourne’s The Age, have confirmed an advertsing sharing deal.

Over the past two years, former inmate and Liberal Party blogger Andrew Landeryou has made a series of outlandish, paranoid and often laughable allegations about Fairfax and Google, amongst other things suggesting that Fairfax is some sort of communist cadre, and disparaging Google for its free-speech business operations in the People’s Republic of China.

Landeryou’s paranoid hypocrisy is doubly stark.

His criticism of Fairfax, and The Age in particular, is based not on fact, as Fairfax in economic terms is a pure profit maximiser, with its board chaired by Ron Walker the most successful fundraiser the Liberal Party has ever had. His paranoid criticism is founded on terror of the forensic investigative skills of custodians of free speech Money and Carbone (joined in the good fight by the many other outstanding and ethical journalists of The Age), who have relentlessly and often at great personal cost maintained their public service overview of Landeryou’s various activities.

Landeryou’s criticisms of Google are difficult to understand from the point of view that Google runs (arguably) the most popular free global blogging service, Blogger. Landeryou uses the free service to run his insolvent blog. If Landeryou was at all consistent, he would shift his Liberal Party blog to another blogging platform.

Ps: Team Slanderyou intended to run this morning the next edition of the internationally popular “Spot the Similarity” game. We have decided to hold it back until later in the week.

Weekend open forum

It's been a long week, especially trawling through Landeryou's dirty laundry. So we are looking forward to an early weekend.

In anticipation, you might want to turn your attention to the comments made by Dark Rider in early May.

What are your thoughts, dear reader. Given DR's constructive comments, what more can we do to deliver a better service to our patriotic and honest readership.

"Landeryou does try to muddy the waters. I note that the comment thread has shifted from the fake ads on his site and how they seem to be hyping an Ed Dale company, to a nonsense argument about Slanderyou being a plagiarist.

This is one of Landeryou's favourite tactics. It seems to me that an interesting point has been raised here and Landeryou is trying to divert attention from it through his normal vitriol and posturing.

To me, it says you should focus on the Ed Dale angle, Slanderyou. No offense, but your 'trip to Costa Rica' was pretty farcical, given the level of hype. If you're on to a good point, Landeryou will drum up some inconsequential crap (like that ridiculous blog award he invented) to distract people's attention. It's a fairly standard ploy used by hacks all over the world.

And Landeryou, I think it's great to see your blog being consigned to the mediocrity it deserves. It's great to see someone spending their weekends and evenings (as well as the rest of the day) on this crap, which essentially offers nothing of substance in the form of debate or information (because the source and motive behind the information cannot be trusted).

Oh, one last thing.

Slanderyou, Landeryou needs people to argue with him and be controversial to actually gain any traction.

Mayne's Crikey involvement certainly helped in that regard. Your current mix on the site, while not particularly hard hitting, isn't giving Landeryou the sort of conflict he needs to actually get anywhere.

So congratulations for that and keep up the good work. I can see you devote far less time to it than Landeryou does. Which you'd expect from people who actually have lives."

MANIC MONDAY SPECIAL: Andrew Landeryou & the Tattersalls Controversy

The Age has been running a series of exposes on the State Government’s management of the lotteries licence, and in particular its relationship with lobbyists representing lotteries licensee Tattersalls. Part of the story involves David White and Hawker Britton.

An element of the tale not (yet?) covered by The Age is Andrew Landeryou’s involvement.

When not writing his Liberal Party blog (as reported by The Australian), Andy also contracts out to Hawker Britton. Team Slanderyou pointed out (to its growing band of readers - nearly 10,000 by the way) that Andy provides the unofficial/back-channel blogging information support service to HB.

This in part explains why Andy has written contemptuously of HB’s lobbying rival, CPR Communications. Landeryou has awkwardly attempted to run a defence here. Andy clearly has a vested interest in seeing CPR ‘damaged’. Andy makes a number of staggering allegations.

As The Age reports, David White has become a millionaire through his lobbying efforts. However, Andy has so far only managed to covert nearly $4 million into personal bankruptcy. He is clearly struggling to make any money from his poorly visited blog.

Andrew Landeryou & Commitment Phobia (UPDATED)

UPDATE
We should of course remind readers that we first exposed Landeryou as claiming to be a member of the AWU as far back as 1999.

ORIGINAL
As Andrew Landeryou’s unofficial but accurate biographer, Team Slanderyou continually finds reoccurring themes in AL’s story.

One is his ability to break commitments and pledges.

A prominent example of this was his persistent breaching of the AJA Code of Ethics, when he was a member of that proud union.

Another occurred when he was a member of the ALP.

As part of the annual membership (renewal) pledge, the member must comply that: “If I employ labour, I will actively encourage trade union membership”. Advice we received is that, the now Liberal Party blogger, but then employer at IQ Corp didn’t always comply with this pledge.

Is Andrew commitment phobic?

Ps: happy weekend.

Why does Andrew Landeryou hate Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia?

Andrew Landeryou hates Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

A good reason why is here, with Wiki showing outstanding editorial excellence with the deletion of this rampant self promotion: "He is generally regarded as an Australian hero, patriot and freedom-fighter. "

Well done Wiki.

ps: Did anyone else know that Andy shares a birthday (19 August, 1970) with a rapper called Fat Joe! Believe it or not!

Out & About with Andrew Landeryou

We all know how much Andrew Landeryou loves eating.

Well, a Slanderyou reader has advised us that in the past week, AL was spotted lunching with an ALP federal Parliamentarian at one of Collins St's prestigious finer eateries.

Over a two course meal, the couple were noted chatting over politics, and even the form of Essendon was mentioned in passing.

Somewhat to our surprise, AL appeared to pick up the bill with a 'gold' credit card.

Team Slanderyou was informed of the identity of the Parliamentarian, but for the time being we have judiciously decided to their identity anonymous for now, in order to preserve their reputation.

Andrew Landeryou involved in Liberal Party preselections

We earlier wrote that The Australian had reported that Andrew Landeryou was a Liberal Party blogger.

Landeryou has been rather active in Liberal Party preselections of late, publishing the news that Prodos will be a candidate for the Tories.

So active was Landeryou in the preselection that Prodos remarked on his blog: "I’m impressed."

Are you impressed dear reader?

Hot off the press!

OUT OF DATE

"THROWN out of his Southbank high-rise after the cockroaches complained, and now embedded in the People's Socialist Republic of Brunswick, loony blogger Andrew Landeryou seems to have let his housekeeping lapse. Addled Andy's name still appears on the latest roll for the electorate covering Wardlow, the Parkville mansion that was seized and sold in July 2005 by irked creditor Solly Lew. This raises the question: how did Landeryou vote in last year's state poll and how will this little tosser exercise his democratic fright at the federal election? That's assuming he's bright enough to number the boxes."

Landeryou's residence status has long been a concern to patriotic Slanderyou readers. This is another line of inquiry through which the Victorian Parliament’s Electoral Matters Committee should severely probe Landeryou.

And you can also add that Landeryou has no friends: its true!

The Dark Arts

Four corners on Monday night ran a frightening report on Brian Burke.

In March, Team Slanderyou exclusively revealed:

"...Andrew Landeryou has been linked to the developing scandal involving Brian Burke and the ALP.
The scandal is ever deepening. Burke’s lobbying of senior politicians has accounted for the political death of a number of WA ALP Government Ministers, plus one Federal Liberal Minister, and pressure is growing on Kevin Rudd. Significant attention is now focusing on Andrew Landeryou.
Last year, Andrew Landeryou confidently asserted, based on a very red hot tip he exclusively received from a senior anonymous West Australian source, that Alan Carpenter was to become the succeeding WA Premier.
Given the scandal involving Burke, will Landeryou come clean and disclose who was the source for his original tip? Senior investigators have yet to reveal who provided the tip. It’s not as if Landeryou and Burke don’t have a relationship of sorts!
Team Slanderyou calls on Landeryou to come clean, and reveal what he knows. Given the speed with which events are unraveling, it is patently clear that Landeryou must now provide full disclosure and resign his fake Walkleys award winning blog to the rubbish bin of history."

ANDREW LANDERYOU IN PARLIAMENTARY INQUIRY PROBE

The Victorian Parliament’s Electoral Matters Committee has been established to inquire into the conduct of the 2006 Victorian State Election.

The Committee is set to report back to Parliament by 30 June 2007.

Immediately following the election result, Andrew Landeryou was vociferous in his claims about all manner of incompetence by the Electoral Commission in its handling of the election count.

Will Landeryou make a written submission to the Inquiry? Will he back up his comments with documented allegations?

Team Slanderyou looks forward to reading the submission; but why do we doubt that there ever will be a submission?

Friday, April 27, 2007

"Members of the OC" - unicorns?

Andrew Landeryou loves to refer to the faceless people (imaginary if you will) that inhabit the ALP like virulent cadres.

He is at it again, this time referring to "Members of the OC" who are supposedly at the National Conference.

While you enjoy your hard earned weekend, here are some questions to consider:

1. if the ALP is infiltrated with Landeryou's lackeys, how should the ALP name and shame these people?
2. do they infact exist; are they real? Landeryou has a habit of inventing fake people, like Freedom Freddy.
3. is Andy just a joke?

Have a good weekend!

Andrew Landeryou in another financial mess (again!)

We reported the other day that officially, Landeryou's blog according to the prestigious blog traffic rankings provider, Alexa, is ranked a staggering 11,019 in Australia. (see bottom of page of the link).

Not only is Landeryou's blog crashing in the rating stakes, it is also struggling as a going concern financially.

According to AdBrite, which runs an online advertising service, advertising on Landeryou's blog is nonexistent: not surprising given that the blog only has, again according to Adbrite, 1 unique user per day.

OFFICIAL: ANDREW LANDERYOU'S BLOG RANKED 11,019 IN AUSTRALIA

A patriotic and honest reader of this blog commented that Landeryou's blog is "Not even in the Top 100 Australian Blogs Index".

We checked, and of course our reader was right! (as usual).

And we did a little more work on this issue and found that, according to the prestigious blog traffic rankings provider, Alexa, Landeryou is ranked a staggering 11,019 in Australia. (see bottom of page of the link)

Were we the only ones who thought that number was too high?

Slanderyou makes Hansard! Disinfectant to Andrew Landeryou

Andrew Landeryou was mentioned in Hansard, as was this blog.

The odd thing is why was the Green MP referencing Andrew Landeryou, whom The Australian records as a Liberal Party blogger.

At first thought, we figured is was due to the preference deal between the Liberals and the Greens at the last state election.

But then again, perhaps it was an innocent mistake, a typo, as the draft Hansard has yet to record: “He (Landeryou) is obviously well MISinformed about matters that move through this chamber”.

Let’s hope Landeryou hasn’t infected Hansard as his blog has infected the archives of the National Library.

There are at least a number of politicians hoping that won’t happen. For example, Bruce Atkinson said in Parliament (into Hansard!): “It is interesting that on the Internet at the moment Andrew Landeryou is running around defaming quite a number of people.”

Or this “(the problem with) Mr Landeryou is that he can hardly ever get his facts right on the blog site”, read into the Federal Parliament’s Hansard, by Gavan O’Connor, in 2005.

Weekend venting session

It's the weekend, dear readers.

Another week, gone.

Here is your chance to vent about what Andy Landy has been up to this week.

Here is a conversation starter: our sources in the exclusive Sentinel building tell us Andy may have taken delivery of a very shiney European vroom vroom. (Aparrently Andy loves making the noise the engine makes to his friends over drinkies).

Wednesday, April 18, 2007

So MUSU was just a mistake!

Let's take a quick step back in time to July 2005. Lachlan Murdoch had just resigned from News Corp.

Andrew Landeryou comments on the news: "From what I’ve always heard, Lachlan’s competence and diligence are unquestioned, the OneTel thing being a mistake but over-enthusiasm for IT&T assets was certainly not unique to him in the late 90’s".

Interesting how Landeryou suggests that the collapse of the billionaire dollar telephoney company, OneTel, was just an enthusiastic mistake. Wasn't Andy also involved in enthusiastic IT&T assets: IQ Corp anyone?

KK caught Landeryou out with this comment: "...sort of like your (Landeryou's) enthusiasm for real estate assets, eh Andy? just a bit of a mistake at Melb Uni was it?" Read on, KK was certainly flying the flag for 'full disclosure' that day.

More on KK here.

COSTA RICA: finger licking good!

Investigations into Andrew Landeryou's time in Costa Rica (not surprisingly perhaps) came to very abrupt, and often well hidden dead ends.

For someone that spent near on 5 months in the country, residents were very tight lipped about Landeryou's comings and goings.

What was particularly interesting was that Landeryou claimed that he was in Costa Rica to pursue his online gaming spivery activities. What is interesting about this is that he appears to have funded his time in CR exclusively from funds directly transferred into the country (from Australia perhaps?).

On a side issue, we discovered that MacDonald's, Burger King and KFC have HOME DELIVERY in Costa Rica. Another reason why Landeryou spent so long in CR.

Blogging Code of Conduct & Andrew Landeryou

A hot blog topic at the moment is that of the promulgation of a Bloggers' Code of Conduct.

We then had cause to wonder how Andrew Landeryou would fair, especially given his record:

- claiming to have won a Walkeys Blog Award, when no such award exists
- claiming to be a journalist, when in fact that is a blatant misrepresentation
- for services to ‘bankrupt online gaming spivery’
- being a tireless promoter of KFC family buckets and single-handedly causing the obesity epidemic
- for services to creative defamation and sleaze
- for services as a clinical case study of narcissism, and
- attempting to shut down blogs.

We guess, it wouldn't matter to Andy, as one of his favourite pastimes is to breach Codes of Conduct.

HAPPY EASTER: A COSTA RICA UPDATE

Costa Rica is indeed a fascinating country: from the beautiful beaches to the simply stunning rainforest areas. And the people are so friendly.

Team Slanderyou had intended to post regularly on our ongoing investigation into Andrew Landeryou’s time in Costa Rica. But because of difficulties with finding internet cafes, we were unable to do so.

However, we have extended our time overseas, to include Jamaica, as we hope to get in a few matches of the cricket World Cup.

But, as a teaser, we can reveal that we did find out a number of interesting facts about Landeryou and what he was up to in Costa Rica. More of that to come.

In the meantime, you might want to consider and comment on the following stories and issues raised by others concerning Landeryou’s recent editorials.

- Tim Dunlop, a man that Landeryou has personally vilified on his blog, provided a significant link to a Landeryou non-story. Why Dunlop would provide Landeryou with such a profile is surprising to say the least.

- This sounds a little closer to the truth: “…Andrew Landeryou's rather nasty Melbourne-based, scandal-happy political blog”.

- And more ‘closer’ to the truth: “(Landeryou’s) usual tabloidish character assassination pieces”.

Team Slanderyou is on
and will report back on 10 April 2007.

In the mean time, avail yourselves of the other stories on this blog, comment away. Also make use of the Labels function.

Costa Rica and Landeryou

Members of the Team Slanderyou Special Investigation Unit will be absent for a few weeks, as they fly off to Costa Rica.

As keen readers would be aware, Costa Rica is one of Andrew Landeryou’s favourite destinations.

It is such a favourite destination that according to Landeryou’s favourite politician Sophie Panopoulos, Landeryou, “…fled to Costa Rica”. (see page 39 of Hansard)

However, others argue he “…disappeared on business”.

We reported last December that members of Australia’s gambling and wagering community had significant concerns, raising unanswered questions such as:

- "If he is in CR (Costa Rica) I am sure he not using the name Andrew Landeryou".
- "He disappeared in CR for five months while every was looking for him. He started a gaming software company and was soliciting business in CR."
- "BTW, hearing his (Andy's) blog is called the Other Cheek .... does not bring pleasant images to mind. "

So the Team Slanderyou Special Investigation Unit is going to Costa Rica to find out what was the real reason.

We will report back on 10 April 2007.

In the mean time, avail yourselves of the other stories on this blog, comment away. Also make use of the Labels function.

We will be posting other stories from time to time in the interim.

Hasta la vista

Andrew Landeryou and Snitch

Only on Wednesday last week did The Australian confirm that Andrew Landeryou was a Liberal blogger.

Now, The Australian Snitch columnist has put in a retraction: "Snitch last week described Andrew Landeryou as a Liberal blogger. In fact, he snipes from a parapet on the opposite side."

Interesting use of words.

According to our thesaurus, synonyms for parapet include 'stockade'. Did Snitch really mean this?

Tuesday, March 13, 2007

Reference please Mr Landeryou

Kevlin Thomson's reference for Tony Mokbel got members of Team Slanderyou thinking.

Given Andrew Landeryou's previous involvement in ALP affairs, (he is now a Liberal Party Blogger) before successfully running into insolvency a number of businesses, Landeryou would have no doubt received references from a number of ALP MPs.

Could those references be rolling around like hand grenades with the pin taken out in various MPs filing cabinets?

GLOBAL EXCLUSIVE: ANDREW LANDERYOU INVOLVED IN REAL ESTATE SCANDAL

On February 12 we revealed that Liberal Party blogger Andrew Landeryou lives in multi-millionaire luxury.

And today we can reveal that Andrew Landeryou is currently embroiled in a real estate scandal.

Sources have revealed that the body corporate that manages the Sentinel building – the palatial residential building with million dollar views – is closely monitoring its most infamous resident, Andrew Landeryou, for unauthorized rebranding of the building as the ‘Tower of Power’.

A resident, who asked to have their identity hidden, told Team Slanderyou that residents have been worried for some time about the smell emanating from Landeryou’s lavish apartment. The resident said the smell of KFC was often overwhelming, and regularly was so intense that it frightened little children and frail old pensioners and patriotic war veterans.

Story developing….

Kelvin is gone: but who was the anonymous source?

Kelvin Thomson, the rather boring and ineffectual member for Wills, has resigned owing to a reference he wrote for notorious fugitive Tony Mokbel.

An interesting side issue to the story is that the 'reference' only came to light owing to an"...anonymous tip-off to his (Kevin Rudd's) office led to the discovery of the reference for Mr Mokbel."

So who was Mr, Ms or Mrs Anonymous?

Liberal Party blogger Andrew Landeryou: Breacher criticises! (UPDATED)

UPDATED
Andrew Landeryou has firmly pressed down on the hyperbole button. He is now using the term 'faux-journalist' to criticise a real journalist. An issue for Team Slanderyou is that we used the term, rather successfully, to describe Andy on 1 December 2006.

No need to link to us Andy, this time, but it is usual blog etiquette to do so.

ORIGINAL
Liberal Party blogger, Andrew Landeryou, is running a non-story criticising Stephen Mayne for breaching the AJA's code of ethics.

How does Landeryou's criticisms stack up with his own significant breaches of the code? Landeryou's history with the AJA is recorded here and here.

Fundraising...road rage....fainting disorders

A patriotic reader forwarded a link to a story that simply has it all: fundraising, road rage, fainting disorders, and all manner of other things.

Some background is available here and here.

Andrew Landeryou has an excuse?

Perhaps Andrew has an excuse afterall? Or does he?

Maybe it's a result from Landeryou hearing voices! Not content with inventing people such as Freedom Freddy (which is an infringement of international copyright, it also infringes on the Australian and US Free Trade Agreement) Landeryou is now forced to have conversations with himself: Andy 2 responds to Andy 1.

Anyway, on equally disturbing news, The Australian records Landeryou as a 'Liberal blogger'.

SHOCKING EXCLUSIVE: ANDREW LANDERYOU & BRIAN BURKE - ONE BURKE TO ANOTHER (UPDATED)

UPDATED
Today, Paul Keating come out strongly defending Kevin Rudd, and by default dismissing the influence and political signficance of Brian Burke.

Interesting, that Keating did not offer the same defence of Landeryou! Maybe, its because Landeryou is after all politically insignificant too?

Also interesting, Keating referred to Brian Burke and his lobbying partner as Arthur Daley and Terry.

Which comic character does Landeryou remind you of?

ORIGINAL
The Team Slanderyou Special Investigations Unit can exclusively reveal that Andrew Landeryou has been linked to the developing scandal involving Brian Burke and the ALP.

Given the speed with which events are unraveling, it is patently clear that Landeryou must now provide full disclosure and resign his fake Walkleys award winning blog to the rubbish bin of history.

Andrew Landeryou's shares in tailspin?

Yesterday marked one of the most turbulent trading days in the equities markets since 9/11.

We wondered how Landeryou's portfolio of prestigious blue chips performed.

Landeryou loves nothing more than attending interstate AGMs of companies like Publishing and Broadcasting Ltd, run by the Packer family.

To check out PBL's performance go here.

WORLD EXCLUSIVE: The train wreck that is Landeryou

The Team Slanderyou Special Investigations Unit is currently working on a story revealing Landeryou’s involvement in a new scandal. We will publish this world exclusive story shortly. Remember we are always first with the news about Andy.

In its place we bring you this story.

Landeryou has been described as a train wreck.

In Melbourne, Connex has been involved in a number of difficulties concerning the mechanical integrity of their trains.

There is a rumour that many of the problems were due to driver error. Another strong rumour is that Landeryou was hired briefly as a train driver. The same rumour links all the Connex difficulties with Landeryou’s driving, and his constant overshooting (of platforms that is!).

ANDREW LANDERYOU GOES TOO FAR! (Hands off Paul Keating)

We have previously listed the many offences committed by Andrew Landeryou.

But this time he has gone too far.

The offence this time is that he has championed Paul Keating, and through his famous twisted logic has somehow reclaimed Keating (as if he had to be reclaimed!)

Even Jason Soon, wannabe neocon and head of Landeryou’s fan club, has got into the act.

Paul Keating, we are sure, would be appalled by everything Landeryou stands for.

Landeryou is an outstanding party traitor; and Keating would hold him in utter contempt – that’s of course, if Keating knew who Landeryou was.

While Keating never uttered these words, the great Robert Ray referred to hacks like Landeryou as Daleks. We are sure Keating would agree.

However, we always thought calling Landeryou a Dalek was unfair to Daleks.

Andrew Landeryou's hate list: add another one

Andrew Landeryou has one of the longest hate lists ever compiled by a bankrupt.

Andrew Landeryou launches extraordinary attack on women (UPDATED)

UPDATE
And there is more from Landeryou here.

ORIGINAL
While we consider the opinions expressed by the patriotic, ethical and honest readers of this blog, we should point out that Landeryou has launched an extraordinary attack on women in general, women in sport, and on the game of soccer.

Landeryou’s misogynist assault will not sit well with his attempts to solve his often frequented loneliness problems.

Should we continue?

Over night, Jason Soon - a very close and dull colleague of Andrew Landeryou - instigated a public campaign to shut down this blog.

It's over to you now. Let us know in the comments section: should we or should we not continue?

Andy lights up

We reported yesterday that Landeryou would have been severely rocked in his chair by the other Andrew, (Bolt that is) who chastised Andy L for his public and unadulterated love for Sophie.

Today, Andy didn't just light a cigarette, he lit the whole box, which would have made Selma from the Simpsons proud.

Landeryou in his chair (UPDATED TWICE)

UDPATE 2
Andy L is now in serious damage control: "The romantic Andrew Bolt joins the fun of Celebrating Sophie". He is now desperately trying to spin the story, given the 'slap' he received from Andy B.

UPDATE 1
This morning, Landeryou would have been severely rocked in his chair by the other Andrew, (Bolt that is) who chastised Andy L for his public and unadulterated love for Sophie.

Andy L, who shares a blog award with Andy B, has now a second reason to add Andy B to his long hate list.

ORIGINAL
Andrew Landeryou spent the afternoon busily writing about some obscure Victorian Parliamentary backbencher getting a 'chair'.

Unfortunately, Andy spends a lot of time on his 'chair' thinking of 'content' for his blog of sleaze.

From his 'throne', Andy can view his little empire, complete with millionaire dollar views, a tennis court, swimming pool, gym, (though he clearly has never used them) broadband internet, cable TV access & a concierge service (to organise late night deliveries of KFC).

EXCLUSIVE: At home with Andrew Landeryou

Andrew Landeryou has been described as Australia’s richest bankrupt.

He is also known as the man that turned $3.4 million into $13,053.25.

But let’s look at Landeryou’s private life.

Landeryou resides in one of Melbourne’s most prestigious apartment communities, where he writes his blog of sleaze and only leaves to attend interstate AGMs of Australia’s largest ASX listed companies.

Andrew lives in the renowned Sentinel building. His apartment is in walking distance of restaurants, Crown casino, the Yarra, Melbourne's Arts precinct and the CBD.

The building even has its own website!

Andrew is doing it very tough. As a resident, Andy has use of a tennis court, swimming pool, gym, (though he clearly has never used them) broadband internet, cable TV access & a concierge service (to organise late night deliveries of KFC).

Andy has still yet to answer how a bankrupt can afford to live in such luxury. It’s not like he has a job!

Perhaps, he is able to afford such luxurious living on the income earned from his lonely hearts dating advertisements that he runs on his blog.

UPDATED
Proof that Andrew reads our blog first for news.

Welcome to our threatened future: Let freedom ring indeed!

On sister blog, Landeryou Watch, this blog was threatened by Andy.

Why Andy wouldn't post his comment on this blog, we can only guess. Unlike with his blog, we wouldn't have deleted his comments.

Andy loves threatening people. Read the graphic: "..sustained attack", "...seized control", "...hostile takeover". No wonder Andy has developed a reputation as a perpetrator of blog-on-blog violence!

Of course, the graphic reminds us all, what readers of this blog - true patriots if you will - are fighting for:

- democracy,
- free speech,
- common decency, and
- the Australian way - a fair go for everyone.

Dear patriotic readers, if we soon go off the air, you will know why!

Pledge your support to our patriotic, freedom fighting cause. Post your support in the comments section. And help us spread the message by posting this blog's web address on other blogs and websites.

As stated in a less than famous proverb: "Lean Liberty is better than fat slavery".

Shocking Revelation: Andrew Landeryou opposed to universal suffrage

Andrew Landeryou hates public debate. He loves nothing more than to shut down dissenting viewpoints and blogs.

And now this: “Landeryou’s video(s) and his blog are … arguments against universal suffrage”.

What does Landeryou have against democracy?

ANDREW LANDERYOU: PLAGIARIST NOT “WELL REGARDED” BY VICTIM

Andrew Landeryou is simply a one-man train wreck: the accident is horrific, but you dare not turn away.

The Team Slanderyou Special Investigations Unit has listed Landeryou’s many offences:

- claiming to have won a Walkeys Blog Award, when no such award exists
- claiming to be a journalist, when in fact that is a blatant misrepresentation

- being a tireless promoter of KFC family buckets and single-handedly causing the obesity epidemic

- for services to creative defamation and sleaze

- for services as a clinical case study of narcissism, and

- attempting to shut down blogs.

Now, the Team Slanderyou Special Investigations Unit can add a new one: plagiarism.

Landeryou posted this commentary. It includes references to Hizb ut-Tahrir, the Bankstown City Council, and a YouTube vid.

Read Landeryou’s article closely. Then go to Neozionoid’s article which was published EARLIER ON THE SAME DAY. Notice any similarities? The one major stand out, among many, is that Landeryou includes every reference cited by Neozionoid, including the YouTube vid. Coincidence?

It’s interesting that Landeryou would do a cut and paste of Neozionoid, who in the past has written that he doesn’t consider Landeryou’s blog to be well regarded. Perhaps that explains why and how Landeryou thought he could get away with it, thinking that the two blogs shared different audiences, and thus he would never be found out.

Andrew Landeryou: the Anti-Midas?

It's the weekend, and we thought we would leave you with an article to ponder over the weekend. Here it is.

Could the author be writing about the same Andrew Landeryou?

The author uses colourful descriptors such as:

- "To be criticised by one so evidently suffering from the anti-Midas touch, who seemingly lacks the ability to manage student union affairs, business affairs, or any other affairs for that matter"

- "his vitriolic ranting and watching the unfolding of chaotic financial management"

- "Mr. Landeryou strikes me as a very confused individual, or at least one who is patently unaware of basic political definitions"

You decide!

Journalists who have worked for politicians: Where is Andrew Landeryou?

Crikey yesterday published a list in its daily e-newsletter titled "Journalists who have worked for politicians".

Lots of names. Lots of memories.

But oh dear! Where is Andrew Landeryou?

The list was alphabetical. Where Landeryou's name should have been - well, it wasn't there.

Hugo Kelly: The Age, Brian Howe, Richard Ellis, Crikey
Christian Kerr: Christopher Pyne, Robert Hill, Amanda Vanstone, John Olsen, Balderstone Hornibrook, Crikey
Rebecca Lang: Herald Sun, AAP, Phil Koperberg, Bob Debus (NSW ALP), Sydney Express, Sun-Herald, North Shore Times, Sunday Telegraph
Michael Magazanik: The Age, Duncan Kerr, Australian, ABC Television, Victorian Parliament
Terry Maher: AFR, Alan Stockdale, Melbourne Times, Zeitgeist, Carlton PR firm, Crikey (occasionally)
Stephen Mayne: Herald Sun, Age, Jeff Kennett, Herald Sun, Daily Telegraph, Fin Review, The Eye, Crikey
John McCarthy: Nick Greiner, Courier-Mail

Andrew Landeryou worked for his father Bill between 1989-91.

But perhaps we missed something? What could that be? Oh, yes, the key word is 'journalist'. Our mistake! Landeryou isn't one.

Was UK Big Brother contestant reading Andrew Landeryou's blog?

Lucy Buchanan, a contestant on UK's Big Brother programme, made the awful statement "I can't stand fat and ugly people, they really bring you down."

There is no evidence that she was reading Andrew Landeryou's blog at the time she made the comment.

ANDREW LANDERYOU, HOW DO YOU PLEAD? GUILTY OR VERY GUILTY

The Team Slanderyou Special Investigations Unit today launched a week long inquiry into Andrew Landeryou’s rather unspecial nefarious activities.

Landeryou has so far been indicted for offences including:

- claiming to have won a Walkeys Blog Award, when no such award exists
- claiming to be a journalist, when in fact that is a blatant misrepresentation
- for services to ‘bankrupt online gaming spivery’
- being a tireless promoter of KFC family buckets and single-handedly causing the obesity epidemic
- for services to creative defamation and sleaze
- for services as a clinical case study of narcissism, and
- attempting to shut down blogs.

A charge of vicious and malicious parking is still to be determined.

The special inquiry launched by the Team Slanderyou Special Investigations Unit involves an interactive criminal trial or ICT.

Citizens, patriots and upstanding members of the community are invited to list their own charges and evidence of Andrew Landeryou’s unspecial nefarious activities.

At the end of the week, the Team Slanderyou Special Investigations Unit will aggregate the list of charges.

Watching Andrew Landeryou

Another blog has joined the Coalition for Truth, called Landeryou Watch.

The blog leads with a fine piece of investigative reporting over the highly contentious "The OC Investigations Unit" (which is just a unit consisting of lonely Landeryou) and "...commenter called Cait Catt, who seems to be Andrew's latest sock puppet."

Protesting against Andrew Landeryou: EXCLUSIVE

Protesters were gathered to raise public awareness of Andrew Landeryou.

The brave protesters also took umbrage at Landeryou for continuing to push KFC down the throats of his readers. One protester said that eating KFC wouldn't be such a bad thing, but "...does Landeryou have to be masticating on it first before forcefeeding it down his readers' throats!"

Even Andrew Landeryou’s supporters are worried

On Monday we wrote that as if proof was needed, Andrew Landeryou had revealed that he was utterly mad, as he launched an 'interactive criminal trial' (whatever that is!) of Jeremy Sear. Now even Landeryou's supporters are seriously concerned over Landeryou's actions.

The Right Call writes:

"Now, normally there would be many sites defending Landeryou, but like The Right Call, they seem to think that this time is different. Where is Tim Blair, Andrew Bolt or any of the others? Oh, wait, I know. The Right Call believes that making up false charges against others based on the scarcest possible evidence is wrong. Tim Blair believes that false charges are wrong and seems to believe that even based on the falsest of evidence that Landeryou is wrong, and Andrew Bolt is on holidays, but he's a big fan of actual facts, not whispers of fact." (red emphasis added)

Looks as if Andy is all alone on this one. Tim Blair seems to have washed his hands of Landeryou.

If Proof was needed: Andrew Landeryou is MAD

If proof was needed, Andrew Landeryou today revealed that he was uttlery mad. Today he launched an 'interactive criminal trial' (whatever that is!) of Jeremy Sear.

This all stems from what we reported in November, about how Andrew Landeryou had form for shutting down blogs.

The blog run by Anonymous Lefty is just the most recent blog targeted for special attention by Landeryou. And Landeryou has really decided to ramp up the action on this one.

Bruce carries the story in greater depth.

Having been caught out red handed, Landeryou responded by suggesting that he would seek legal redress from Anonymous Lefty for making the allegation public.

Now let’s consider this for a moment.

Landeryou is a bankrupt. How will he afford this civil litigation? He doesn’t hold down a job. The assumption around town is that he is either living off savings or is on unemployment benefits. If he is on unemployment benefits, then surely it is time that the Social Security Officials cracked down on this. Perhaps Landeryou is claiming some sort of disability allowance owing to his weight problems.

However, this morning Landeryou runs the idea of running an 'interactive criminal trial' (whatever that is!) of Jeremy Sear.

Landeryou’s tactics have become very tired and boring: play the FEAR and SMEAR game as hard and fast as you can. Throw enough mud, and some of it will stick.

Oh Andy, will you ever learn?

How Andrew Landeryou starts the working week

It's the start of another working week.

For most of us it means trudging off to work, and for some that means putting in 80 hour weeks.

For Andrew Landeryou, however, he doesn't suffer the same fate. The start of his week involves sitting before his PC surfing the net for more sleaze for his poorly regarded blog.

And Andy has a real problem with working people. He frowns on people putting in the hours to get the job done. Why would that be? Andy doesn't work. Is it because he lives off unemployment benefits? Or is it because he lives off undisclosed income streams?

ANDREW LANDERYOU: Mr. SPIVERY 2006?

2006 has just passed. What a year!

It was a very busy and eventful year for Landeryou.

He’s been declared bankrupt, was outed as the frocked-up Delia Delegate, and is busily pursuing his passion for shutting down blogs. (More on this to come in due course)

We would like to nominate and award Andrew Landeryou with the title of Mr. 2006.

However, we can’t find one single reason to do so. Not one.

We guess we could nominate him for a number of awards such as:

- claiming to have won a Walkeys Blog Award, when no such award exists

- claiming to be a journalist, when in fact that is a blatant misrepresentation

- for services to ‘bankrupt online gaming spivery’

- being a tireless promoter of KFC family buckets

- for services to creative defamation and sleaze

- for services as a clinical case study of narcissism.

Over to you dear readers. What other Awards should Landeryou be nominated for?
