LIFE CAN BE SO JUST SOMETIMES

Given our 1 year birthday, we thought that we would consider how people who have come into close contact with Andrew Landeryou have faired.

We especially thought that it was appropriate as Landeryou has an amazing record of failure: MUSU, IQ Corp, Optima, and his insolvent blog.

But let’s look at the unfortunate people that have come into contact with Landeryou, and see how they have progressed in trying to put aside their former tawdry association with Landeryou.

- Evan Thornley (who sacked Landeryou) is now a successful backbencher in the Victorian state Parliament.

- Darren (disgustingly dirty) Ray is a successful realtor.

- Kimberly Kitchen found a job with Drake personnel, and has since moved onto be an adviser to Theo Theophanous.

- Even Landeryou’s dog Ronnie (named after Ronald Reagan) has gone on to find fame.

However, alas, Landeryou has made no progress at all, remaining a lonely, unemployed, bankrupt, “crap”, Liberal Party blogger.

Life can be so just sometimes.

Cait, you of course mean the fake Walkey!

Rev Danny Nalliah of Catch the Fire Ministry prayed for Landeryou after criticism of him appeared on the Landeryou blog. Rev Nalliah also said it was God's will when Landeryou won the inaugural Walkley Blog Award. Landeryou must have won it to get such an endorsement. Anyway the Rev Nalliah features greatly on today's Crikey, and for the benefit of Slanderyou readers this is what Crikey today says:

10. God (or at least Danny Nalliah) isn't on Kevin Rudd's side
Irfan Yusuf writes:

Kevin Rudd might be ahead in the opinion polls, but he certainly isn’t getting God’s vote. Presuming, of course, that God acts in accordance with the dictates of wacky groups like the Salt Shakers and Danny Nalliah’s Catch The Fire Ministries.

Peter Stokes, the Grand Ayatollah of the Salt Shakers cult, has issued a fatwa calling on Christians to abandon Kevin Rudd as he will not be able to withstand the pressure of leading a “largely humanist, socialist Labor party made up largely of left wing unionists!!!” Sheik Stokes finds Rudd’s idea that “the starting point with Christianity is a theology of social justice” to be also problematic, especially if it doesn’t involve condemning homos-xuals.

Of course, all this arises from Rudd’s refusal to declare Jesus Christ to be the Son of God when asked by a journalist in late September. Rudd’s answer – that he is “a person who attends church regularly” – was just not good enough.

Rudd is not alone in facing the fury of charismatic fruitcakes who put doctrinal purity before broad policy. In the United States, Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney is facing opposition due to his membership of a church (the Latter Day Saints or Mormons) which many Southern Baptists and evangelican Christians regard as heresy.

John Howard and Peter Costello are much luckier ... or should that read blessed? Regardless of their doctrinal preferences, the Libs have received special blessings from Danny Nalliah, who has called for a special service to thank God for all that marvellous rain that, as we all know, has completely replenished the irrigation water supplies of farmers across Australia.

I’m sure Mr Howard would love to participate in such a service after the rain fell and the drought was broken. Still, at least Peter Costello can be happy that Danny Nalliah is preparing God in readiness for Mr Costello’s imminent move to the Lodge.

Nalliah is no doubt expecting the dynamic Liberal duo “will fulfill God’s plan and purpose for our nation’s destiny and the future generations in this Great South Land of the Holy Spirit!” I’m not sure exactly what that means, but based on his record so far, I guess Nalliah will be expecting support for the following sensible policy agenda:

That leadership transition occur in accordance with the Divine commands which Nalliah receives in the same manner as the Prophet Samuel.
That Christian pastors be allowed to effectively promote domestic violence.
That Hindu, Buddhist and Masonic temples (not to mention mosques and bottle shops) be destroyed.
That the Christian Right should be allowed to take over Australian politics.
God help us!

This item was posted on Landeryou today, only Cait wrote Nameless on the Landeryou version.

Didn't you Cait?

Or was it Landeryou? Landeryou has been well exposed on this blog as Cait Catt and catter8.

Slanderyou, I'm in 100% agreement with you on this. All credit to the people that have survived Andrew landeryou. They are true "survivors".

As I have always said on this blog, the Slanders blog of filth, the Landeryou blog is the greatest, and his sources of information are mind boggling. Who else in the media has access to the inner thoughts of Senator Conroy. Game on:

THE TAP OF THE FREE: Conroy Says No More Leaking To The OC

ocfresh

Fifteen good and true Victorian Labor Unity executived patriots convened this evening to contemplate their futures in the bunker of Senator Steve Conroy.

Business is good for Labor moderates, so the mood was not greatly unlike when the board of BHP Billiton convenes to discuss their latest record quarterly profit. Of course, pride precedes the fall so there's not much room for gloating in this hardened group of patriot decision-makers.

Of most note was the ritual statement - comparable to acknowledging traditional Aboriginal elders - said at many political meetings these days imploring participants not to leak to the OC. My fellow Chelsea supporter, patriot Senator Steve Conroy led the invocation, which was greeted with nods and quiet grunts as people leaned down to their blackberries to send us a missive. Only kidding :-)

It is a little known fact that Senator Conroy is also an enthusiastic blogger, we commend his site to you.

On his Myspace page, the adoration of the public for the Senator is all too apparent.

I cannot believe you are 44! I didn't think you were a day over 35! You are looking fantastic Mr Conroy. May I just say I am a huge fan of yours and I too go for Chelsea. Anyway, see you later, have a good one mate!!

hey there stephen... just wondering if u can give me a hand in a pre selection in a safe labor seat? look i'll even settle for a safe liberal, i think i'll have enough sway on the local electorate...
cheers mate, adrian ;-)

You are one of the best leaders if not the best in the country mate...

G'day Steve. Thanks for the add.
I've been a fan of yours from way back. We need more people like yourself, Feeney and Shorten on the front bench. (OC: Never a truer word spoken)

Someone styled as the Brethren wrote on12 Jul 2007 11:25 PM
am a big fan of yours, mr. conroy...
you've got nice hair cut...

With a blog and myspace as good as all that, I can well understand why he sees little need for competition of the kind the OC represents.

FABULOUS FIONA

Long-serving faction secretary Fiona Richardson indicated her intention to resign from her position, as expected. And in a surprise move, marathon champion Bill Shorten said he would be leaving the faction convenor's position.

Both patriots were thanked by acclamation for their long and wise service. Fiona R has been faction secretary for over seven years and managed to win over even her fiercest critics with Johnny Rambo style grit in some impossibly tough situations.

THE HOPE AND THE HOPEFULS

Bill is of course the Great White Hope for whom many in the executive were inclined to throw rose petals on the ground as he glided by, freshly victorious from the Labor Unity Marathon Challenge.

As previously discussed, two candidates have emerged for faction secretary Noah Carroll and Marlene Kairouz. Because Labor moderates are gentle people of unity, many see a head-to head up or down ballot where one candidate gets a slight majority as being unlikely. A consensus will gradually emerge, it is believed.

And there's certainly plenty of time for that agreement, in favour of one of the two or maybe a compromise candidate (seen as less likely now than it was), with nominations not closing until a week after the federal election.

JOHN HOWARD'S ROLE

So we have the amusing situation of John Howard himself determining the timing of the Victorian Labor Right's internal factional ballot. It's unlikely the fate of Noah or Marlene is weighing that heavily on the Prime Ministerial mind though.

As for the possible successors to Bill Shorten as faction secretary, it is too early to say who will get the spot with any number of senior people in the group expected to consider taking on the post.

The meeting concluded in peace and love, appointing a Gang of Four to negotiate the pleasant business of welcoming patriots from the National Union of Workers back to the faction of which they were once a crucial part. Not that there's any leaking going on or anything but those appointed were patriot state MP Robin Scott, patriot retail union leader Michael Donovan, patriot who would never leak himself Senator Stephen Conroy and patriot marathon champ Bill Shorten.

Iron chefs Martin Pakula and Tim Holding will pop around at the Gang of Four's respective homes with freshly cooked muffins tomorrow morning. Not that they're keen or anything.

No wonder Conroy has ordered his droogs to have nothing with Landeryou.

If you were about to become Communications Minister, would you want any association with an online threat to children (and others easily lead) and failed former internet gambling shonk?

When Andy is back in the dock at the end of the month, someone should ask him about the Walkley Blog Awards. It wouldn't be a good look if he perjured himself, now would it?

A mate of mine in the NSW ALP says that more and more people now believe that Peter Baldwin was not bashed, but instead that he was sat on by the 10 year old Landeryou.

I doubt that Conroy would mention Landeryou's name in public, even at a LU meeting. But let's say he did, that would suggest some serious governance problems in LU and the need at all to say it.

Anonymous said...

Utter Crap! "Conroy Says No More Leaking To The OC". It was more like a threat to LU members - don't even think let alone speak about fat boy - not only is he a political cancer, but a Liberal party blogger

I am really inspired together with your writing talents as neatly as with the format to your

Either way keep up the excellent quality writing, it is

I have been browsing online more than 3 hours as of late, yet I by no means found any fascinating article like yours.
It's lovely price enough for me. In my view, if all web owners and bloggers made just right content as you probably did, the net might be a lot more helpful than ever before.

Woah! I'm really loving the template/theme of this blog. It's
simple, yet effective. A lot of times it's difficult to get that "perfect balance" between usability and visual appeal. I must say you have done a superb job with this. Also, the blog loads very quick for me on Opera. Outstanding Blog!
