Andrew Landeryou in cookie frenzied suppression of free speech scandal

Over the past few days, Patriots commenting on this Blog of Truth have revealed that Blog of Sleaze author Andrew Landeryou has not only been censoring comments to his blog, but further has been secretly monitoring and recording commentators IP addresses and in many cases blocking Patriots from presenting the truth.

Patriots were the first to note:

- Landy's blog of sleeze sends out cookies to people surfing his site.

- Nutcase Andrew began exposing the IP addresses of posters to his blog yesterday. This is on top of his sending browser tracking cookies to the computers of his readers. Guess what? Everyone online suddenly vanished.

- Someone on the Landeryou blog posted this interesting question when Andrew started exposing poster's IP addresses on his blog yesterday: "Right Said Fred": To give readers here a fuller picture of what's really happening here, I challenge you to publish the IP addresses of Andrew, Byron in Wahroonga | Right Said Fred | Twentytonman | SuzAnne | Abused | Go get 'em Landy | What is he thinking? | Giovanni knows all | PPV | - on my system, they are all showing up as originating from Andy's IP address. Weird, Huh? IP: 58.163.130.189 | 07.11.08 - 7:51 pm | # Needless to say, nothing happened. Just the usual silence. Andrew has b*ggered his own blogsite by being even nastier and devious than usual.

- The Blog of Sleeze is deserted today after yesterday's exposure of posters IP addresses, and warnings about Andrew's use of browser tracking cookies. And he is still up to old tricks. This is an example of out and out forgery: And if she doesn't get him, he's sure due for a big kicking from the Footscray market boys. IP: 58.163.131.35 | 07.11.08 - 3:05 am | # Andrew posted that himself, but has substituted the IP address of a poster who was critical of his Twentyman debacle. I should know, I used that proxy server address myself for a short while yesterday. Luckily, I've kept a log of my posts. The message (above) is nt among them...

- Despite the fact his blog is all but deserted (except for the many personas that Andrew uses - 'Anna Cleves' reappeared tonight), Andrew is still exposing posters' IP addresses tonight. Nearly all the addresses are fakes. Maybe posters have wised up to the endless tricks on Landy's site and are playing him for a fool. Several of the IP addresses have routed through Dallas, Texas, and others from Japan.

This looks like being another busy week Patriots. So posts may be a little thin this week; but keep up the good fight by posting your cookie-free and uncensored thoughts, views and truths here.

(Sunday evening) Andrew is still mucking around on his blog and putting the few remaining posters' IP addresses for all to see - even if most are spoofed or created through proxy servers...

Luckily, all this makes it very easy to spot Andrew's own handiwork. His posts don't have the IP address substitution (imagine writing the blog AND most of the responses too)! Too much time on your hands, Andy. Go and get a real job!

Hooray! Les Twentyman has complained to the Victorian Electoral Commission about Landy's interference in his Kororoit campaign. This is, I think, unprecedented in Australasia. But my reading of the electoral act is that Landy may have committed several offences. He's busy wiping down the crime scene now (despite his admission on the blog that he had authored the Heroin Shooting Rooms fake leaflet). Jamie Briggs, who is getting muckraked by Landy should be getting legal advice too.

Amazing!!

Landy edited my post (above) on the spot!

This was the original post, paragraph 2: 'In the Sol Lew matter, IQ Media's company records suddenly vanished. As far as Les Tentyman is concerned, are you going to close the blog and do a runner'?

This is how para 2 reads now: 'As far as Les Tentyman is concerned, are you going to close the blog'

For people who know the background, this was an odd edit.

How did Landeryou get the www.lestwentyman.com URL?

The internet regulators are very wary of cybersquatters and have been for years. You need to demonstrate an entitlement to a URL before it is granted to you.

Was Landeryou entirely honest when he applied for the www.lestwentyman.com name?

Landeryou has fallen foul of the internet's regulators before.

One complaint over this and he will be facing yet another investigation.

Why I’m voting Liberal

Posted by clubwah on June 27, 2008

Anyone who has been through this blog can safely assume that my political leanings skew towards the Labor Party. I have never voted Liberal but this will change in tomorrow’s state by-election in the seat of Kororoit.

Kororoit is safe Labor, outer suburban, mortgage belt and any other working-class cliche you care to imagine. I’m pretty happy with the services that have been delivered in the area. However the transport needs in much of the area are a disgrace.

There is a bus network, but it’s too in frequent and does not tie in with the train network meaning 20 minute waits between bus and train. So I drive to a train station instead of relying on the bus. However because of full car parks I have to drive all the way to West Footscray, half way into town, to get on the Sydenham Line, which is one of the most overcrowded on the network.

The transport shortcomings in the area have been identified in the Eddington Report about public transport infrastructure. However, I fear the Brumby Government will barely give the bulk of Eddington’s recommendations an airing, and will instead bow to pressure from inner-city and Green lobby groups.

I feel the only way the State Government will listen to the these recommendations is if Kororoit stops being a safe Labor seat held with a whopping 26 per cent margin.

This is why I, and I hope many of my neighbours, will vote Liberal to give John Brumby, and even Kevin Rudd a scare, and make them realise the people in Melbourne’s outer western suburbs are not to be taken for granted.

I’m also pissed off that Labor have chosen to parachute in a candidate from the northern suburbs, former Darebin Mayor Marlene Kairouz, at the expense of former Brimbank mayor (one of the councils in the electorate) Natalie Suleyman - who was a victim of factional infighting.

Interestingly Kairoz has campaigned against the proposed road tunnel linking the Tullamarine and Eastern Freeways, which would benefit the people she is hoping to represent.

The Liberal Party have brought in a local candidate, Jenny Matic - who grew up in the area since migrating from Croatia, and has has actually lived a real life as a research scientist, rather than as a party hack.

While Labor should win this by-election, it’s obvious by the amount of advertising material dropped in my letter box in the past week - more than the Federal election - that the Brumby camp is concerned.

Even the Liberals are putting up a good fight, which is almost unprecedented around here. Add to that independent candidate Les Twentyman, a high profile social worker who I feel does more to maintain the unfair myth about the “poor” western suburbs than anyone else, and I reckon a sizable chunk will be taken out of Labor’s margin - that said I’m tempted to vote for Twentyman to spite that fat, disgusting cunt Andrew Landeryou, who published a Google Earth image of the candidate’s street and house on his blog.

With public transport being the biggest issue in this area at the moment, I’m hoping a poor showing for the Brumby Government will achieve two things.

Firstly that Kororoit and the western suburbs are no longer taken for granted by Labor or seen as a lost cause to the Libs.

Secondly I hope it shows John Brumby that that continuing to neglect public transport infrastructure and services could cost him dearly at the next state election.

I just love the way you’ve dropped this on us on the very eve of the by-election Wah, with no previous comments on the issue whatsoever. So what happened? Did you just wake up in a bad mood and say, “fuck it, I’m voting Liberal”? If they get in, guess what? We’re blaming you!

I agree with you about Landeryou though, he’s just gone ballistic over Twentyman. Maybe it’s a reaction to finding out another mule’s been kicking in Sophie’s stall.

I had a rare squizz at Landeryou’s blog yesterday or whenever it was. I thought I was on the wrong blog, because it was just blog after blog about Les Twentyman. All the way down.

Obsessed much?

Still, I hadn’t heard of Les Twentyman until Landeryou started fellating himself whilst thinking of Twentyman.

Wah, I feel the same way about how Brumby & the State Government have treated this area in the north east. How they give all the help to the corporate ski resorts and fck all to the towns. You’d know that from my blog.

But I could no sooner vote Liberal or Nats than make love to the member for Indi - and that’s a horrible thought (besides, she’s up the duff already).

I’m not in the same situation as you though, because this has always been a safe conservative seat. I hear what you’re saying but …. well I guess anyone who supports the Geelong Gays just can’t be trusted to stick fat!

8. clubwah Says:
June 28, 2008 at 12:29 pm

I have not turned Liberal - I simply want my area not to be taken for granted and I vote Liberal knowing that Labor remain in government. An increased Labor majority will mean you can forget about any transport improvements. It’s time Kororoit became a squeaky wheel.

Seriously Wah,
I can see your reasons for putting the Libs ahead of Labor, but if you put Libs 1 on your ticket I be more than a little upset, especially if public transport was your main focus.

I hope you used your preferences rather than your primary vote to register your protest vote.
14. clubwah Says:
June 28, 2008 at 9:45 pm

Wow, I’ve been Landeryoud - lefties don’t say cunt? What about trade unionists?

I’m amazed at how some of you guys are so disgusted at me for voting Liberal. This is about using my right as a voter to do what I think is best for this area not for me. I don’t want this to be a safe electorate which Labor uses to reward its hacks knowing that they don;t have to put up a fight to win my vote.
15. brokenleftleg Says:
June 28, 2008 at 10:16 pm

Wah,
I’m not disgusted in you voting Liberal, but I would be dissappointed if you didn’t use the preference system wisely.

Both major parties are riddled with factional hacks. Niether of them are commited to public transport. If you wanted to send a real message to the ALP you would have Labor last and Libs second last.
And then there is the public funding for primary votes. Surely that would be better off going to Les to use wisely, or the Greens to help bring in a progressive voice.

17. Chuck A. Spear Says:

I think you did the right thing, Wah. Brumby and Labour are becoming increasingly arrogant to the point where it seems they don’t give a fuck about anything.

Brumby is starting to come across like Kennett did in his last term: aloof, arrogant and a (Brumby) knows best attitude. Like you said, they have done fuck-all to fix anything.

I’m glad they lost.
18. clubwah Says:
June 29, 2008 at 1:00 pm

Chuck Labor did win but suffered a 13 per cent swing against it, which, although does nothing to make Kororoit marginal, is significant.
Hopefully this will have wider repercussions and make the Brumby Government think about how to contain such a swing in other electorates. If this means listening to the tranport concerns of all Melburnians than I feel I have done the right thing.

23. THR Says:
June 29, 2008 at 11:07 pm

Sorry, but voting tory is never activism. Not for any reason. I can’t understand what you think it would achieve. Possibly you are unclear about how our electoral system works, and that may explain your choice. Otherwise, it deserves to be criticised.
24. LuLi Says:
June 30, 2008 at 1:32 am

You voted Liberal? Didn’t anyone stop you in time? Your reasons are valid I suppose, I’m just.. I don’t know.. Saddened.
25. clubwah Says:
June 30, 2008 at 1:06 pm

THR I know exactly how the system works. If more people new how the system worked and didn;t vote automatically for “their side” than Kororoit wouldn;t have alocal member from another side of town who knows fuck all about local issues.
I am a strong Labor supporter, but I am fucked if they I am going to be a Labor bitch - they have to earn my vote just like every other prick. This was a protest vote, and the repercussions that are being felt in the state Labor party because of the 16 per cent swing against it shows that my intentions are vindicated.
I alsom want the Liberal Party to beleive they have a chance in Kororoit, so Labor will take the swing against seriously in the next state election.
I’m sick of Labor Government looking like Liberal Light - simply hating the Libs is asking for complacency.
26. Chuck A. Spear Says:
June 30, 2008 at 1:54 pm

Apologies, Ray. I did fuck it up the delicious irony.

Iain, they same gut feelings you had about George, Matthew French and the scotch? Maximilian isn’t dodgy BTW, It’s just my WordPress login.
27. raydixon Says:
June 30, 2008 at 3:16 pm

I hope you don’t think I’m one of those “disgusted” with you Wah. I’m not, and I understand your point. I just think it might be a bit misguided.

When we vote at State elections does it matter if it’s for “a local member from another side of town who knows fuck all about local issues”? I think not. Surely it’s about which party should be running the State. The local issues are … well, they’re just local issues and perhaps could be better addressed by (a) writing about them (b) writing to your local member and/or other State Ministers (c) going through your local council who are often a voice and a gateway to the State Government.

That’s what I do anyway. If all else fails then you could run for council, become the Mayor of Caroline Springs and secede from the State, mate.

PS: The Saints are coming back & rising from the dead - watch out!
28. Rx Says:
June 30, 2008 at 3:26 pm

29. John Surname Says:
July 1, 2008 at 12:31 am

Ray, it’s already decided who’s running the state. This election had no bearing on that. Politicians, state and federal, should be local, and working for their constituency. If you’re voting for a party that has your areas worst interests at heart, or isn’t doing the job it should, chances are you are voting for the wrong party, and there is no reason to remain glued to any one party.

THR - What is a better protest vote? It seems Wah has achieved exactly what he set out to do - a scared shitless Labor camp.
30. raydixon Says:
July 1, 2008 at 1:40 am

Fair enough John, but I still think there are better ways of “protesting” than voting for the Liberals.
31. THR Says:
July 1, 2008 at 12:22 pm

THR - What is a better protest vote?

Unless you think the Coalition are better placed to run your electorate, it makes no sense voting for them, protest or otherwise.
I’ve lived in safe ALP seats for most of my life, and I agree that these seats tend to be taken for granted. Nonetheless, such seats tend to be neglected by both parties, not just the incumbent. Also, independents and minor parties have a better chance of winning in safe seats than marginals to some extent - if an independent can get into second place, they can leapfrog ahead on preferences. It didn’t happen this time, but it has virtually nil chance of happening in a marginal.

In this case, I’d think Greens would be the best option, followed by Twentyman. It sends the ALP the message that they have to work for our votes, without telling the Libs that they don’t. Also, if you feel your community is being shafted/nelgected by the pollies (and it probably is) then you should consider forms of activism other than the electoral.
32. Jeremy Says:
July 1, 2008 at 1:52 pm

Wah still hasn’t answered whether by “voting Liberal” he means he put them first, above the Greens and Twentyman (in which case I truly don’t understand why), or whether he just put them above the ALP (which I do understand).

Please, Wah, reassure us.
33. raydixon Says:
July 1, 2008 at 2:46 pm

Well I did it, I voted Liberal

I think that means he put them first on his ballot. It strikes me that Wah is entitled to vote how he sees fit and that the main “mistake” he made here was to tell us about it (before we had a chance to talk some common sense into the man!)
34. clubwah Says:
July 1, 2008 at 3:37 pm

I voted 1 Liberal and followed their how-to-vote card. As well as a protest vote to Labor, I want the Liberals to think they have a chance in the electorate.
35. John Surname Says:
July 1, 2008 at 6:19 pm

“less you think the Coalition are better placed to run your electorate, it makes no sense voting for them, protest or otherwise.”

The coalition would be better off running the electorate than the Greens.

“Shit, we won! What do we do now?”

“Pull on your bong and hope it all goes away!”
36. THR Says:
July 1, 2008 at 7:00 pm

The coalition would be better off running the electorate than the Greens.

Maybe, but the last time the Coalition governed Victoria the results were less than pleasant. It’s difficult to imagine the Libs having much sympathy for Western suburbanites (and the feeling is generally reciprocated). In this by-election, there were 2 independents in addition to the Greens and the fundie fringe parties. In other words, you had options if you associated the Greens with hashish, but didn’t want to vote for a major party.
37. Jeremy Says:
July 2, 2008 at 11:09 am

I’m never sure if John’s just being provocative, but his Greens hatred is mystifying.

John, the Greens now basically comprise a large part of your beloved Democrats. People who are not crazy tree-huggers but middle of the road lefties.

And if Wah’s primary issue is public transport, they’re the one party who’s consistently determined to expand and improve the network.

As for the byelection - I don’t know much about Twentyman, but if Landeryou hates his guts then that’s a fairly ringing endorsement as far as I’m concerned.
38. Bron Says:

Zimbabwe-style blogger, Andrew Mugabeyou, is no laughing matter. He edits posts to his ‘Blog of Freedom’ and if he doesn’t like what you say, your ISP will be banned, and you can’t comment at all. Where is the freedom of speech in that? He posts on his under pseudonyms like ‘Real Politik’, ‘Bryon from Wahroonga’ and many others…

But it gets worse. The other night, using the post name ‘Profiler’, I was suddenly censored and banned. The next thing was a forged post from Andrew using the ‘Profiler’ tag: It read “Landeryou should be killed”. This is seriously weird stuff! Luckily the post was quickly taken down, but it left me with a sense of shock and dismay.

Andrew’s under pressure at the moment. His relentless campaign against Les Twentyman in the Kororoit by election was a shocker. He photographed Twentyman’s home, terrified his family and misled electors with a leaflet featuring photos of syringes. The leaflet claimed heroin shooting rooms were part of Twenyman’s platform (they weren’t). Don’t have anything to do with this cuckoo!

There's one thing I don't get about Landeryou's jihad against Twentyman. Let me explain.

Landeryou is a failed businessman and a failed politician. Most of his feuds and most of the content of the Blog of Sleaze are against people he blames for his failure - Solly Lew and Sophie Mirabella - or colleagues and contemporaries who have succeeded - Evan Thornley and Stephen Mayne.

The rest of his behaviour is largely schtick, a silly in-joke between Landeryou and himself posted up on his site to pad out the attacks on those people listed above.

The Blog of Sleaze has got nothing to do with politics. That is just cover. It's all about Landeryou and the fact he's a failure.

So why the intense war against Twentyman? What on earth has he done to get Landeryou so angry? Don't tell me it's just politics. There must be a hell of a story there if some patriot can only uncover what it is!

Anonymous said...

If i was Les Twentyman I would be getting on to WIPO, the World Intellectual Property Organisation pretty damned quickly. They are the specialist United Nations body that deals with domain name dispute resolution. He should also contact the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers. landeryou might think this is a joke but those two bodies take cases like the www.lestwentyman.com matter very seriously indeed and have the power to strip him of the name without compensation

The person posting as 'Why I’m voting Liberal' was unnecessarily loquacious, convoluted and incomprehensible.

It was probably Andrew doing a massive cut and paste job.

Bullsh*t baffles brains!

Andy hasn't been doing well lately. He was shown to be using many pseudonyms for posts to his own blog. He did a complete, mad hatchet job on Les Twentyman, stalked the Twentyman home and authored the infamous syringes leaflet during the Kororoit election. Now he's declared war on critical posters, exposing their IP addresses, forging and faking replies and making faked threats against himself. It would be wonderful if Landy's blog closed down, and he was put through protracted and harrowing judicial processes.

Anonymous said...

Fascinating that Landeryou has missed the biggest Mayo story so far; the intervention of John Howard into the Liberal preselection. All the newspapers have it. He also has repeatedly gotten the name of the candidate Chrissy Pyne is backing completely wrong. This does not just suggest that his sources are crap. It suggests that he invents most of his material.

Someone should also warn the Monash students that Landy's blog is being investigated by Victoria Police after a complaint of political interference by Les Twentyman about the Kororoit bye-election. Is it wise therefore to post comments there?

Shouldn't they also be made aware of Landy's Melb Uni Students' Union fiasco? Strange, after all these years, that he is still pre-occupied with campus politics and crime. He is a lot weirder than I imagined.

It only took an hour, but here is how Landy treated my post:

Stupidly, he has just proved to the Monash students that the warning was right on the ball.

I get the feeling Landeryou's "back end" is going to be getting probed again - vigorously!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

has anyone noticed what landeryou is trying to pass off for content at his sleazly site

yesterday he posted up three newspaper clipping and a long and dull and utterly insignificant tale of student politics somewhere in the melbourne burbs

earth shattering news not

to top it off late last night he published yet another meaningless hate rant against les twentyman

probably the result of a kfc high after his usual evening meal of five family feast buckets

The only breasts and legs Landeryou likes have been dusted with Colonel's secret herbs and spices and dunked in a deep fryer.
